That is exactly how I feel about Pittsburgh/weather! Every gorgeous day is like a gift rather than something to be expected. Every minute Is wrung out of the day. Chilly rainy days are for cozy blankets, cups of tea, movies on the couch, sleeping in. The weather is always new- and we’re alway looking for the first colored leaf, the first snow flake, the first batch of crocuses, the first ripe tomato…

mishmash:

I just have such a big crush on everything here and I keep getting warned by people that the winter is rough (and “you’ll be depressed for nine months out of the year”, thank you cashier at the QFC.) but I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it. Right now I’m just filled with so much excitement every time the clouds clear and I can see Mount Ranier or when there’s a whole new set of flowers blooming on my walk home or when it is raining and gloomy outside and it’s the perfect excuse to sit inside and read. I spend so much time saying “Look at that!” to the people I know here. I can’t stop looking, there’s too much to see.

Well said Michelle…I can’t agree with you more. Everyday is an adventure! And everyday is different! Thanks for the fresh perspective….this Florida girl who LOVES me some sunshine is getting quite comfortable with unpredictable weather! It was 100 degrees today for the love of god!
